Introduction
You are invited to take part in a research study. Before you decide, you need to understand why the research is being done and what it would involve for you. Please take the time to read the following information carefully. Please ask us if there is anything that is not clear or if you would like more information.
What is the study about?
There is significant hype about the use of AI by market participants such as investors. However, we have a lack of empirical data about the way AI is being used or not being used. This short survey will target collecting empirical data about how investors use AI in their roles.
What would taking part involve?
Participants will complete a questionnaire which will take about 10 minutes.
Do I have to take part?
No — participation in this study is completely voluntary.
What are the possible benefits of taking part in this study?
Firstly, we will be happy to share the findings with all participants. Secondly, it will help inform future standard setting. Thirdly, it serves as a chance for knowledge exchange. You can take part in a study that is knowledge driven, produces new findings and insights, and which can create impact across the industry.
What are the possible disadvantages, side effects or risks of taking part in this study?
There should be no risks of completing the questionnaire.
Will my taking part be kept confidential?
The survey data will be kept confidential and results only reported in aggregate.
Who has reviewed the study?
This study has been reviewed and given favourable opinion by Loughborough University's ethics committee.
Who should I contact if I want further information?
Professor Ken Lee — k.m.lee@lboro.ac.uk
